Taking its cues from a cold, unforgiving, Blade Runner- esque aesthetic, The Spacecraft by Romain Jerome evokes a bizarre future of wristwear that tech-heads may love or hate, but above all, appreciate.
With only 99 in production, the watch was made in collaboration with fellow Swiss designers Manuel Emch, Jean-Marc Wiederrecht and Eric Giroud. Its “New Age” design (or what passed for New Age, before we got here) is made up of a PVD-coated titanium case, an extremely detailed moevment, and a Geneva-based, self-winding movement. That movement powers a red disc that cycles through hours displayed on a sapphire crystal face, much like an old-school Buick’s transmission gear indicator.
